Australian cult comedy hero, Paul Fenech (HOUSOS, FAT PIZZA, BOGAN HUNTERS) has released a brand-new comedy, Dumb Criminals, a web series of seven out-there episodes based on true-life stories of criminal idiocy, available to view free online from 31st August at 7pm.
Writer, producer and director Paul Fenech said “With the success of ‘on demand’, I wanted to make some free web comedy. All the best dumb criminal stories from real life are the basis of this series, which is wild, rude and has more tattoos than a Mexican prison, ‘Underbelly’ meets ‘Housos’.”
Dumb Criminals follows a group of fictional dim-witted crooks as they plunder their way through an array of poorly planned, stupidly executed and downright silly crimes including stealing lobsters from a local fish shop, sneaking in to prison in oil drums and attempting to rob local drug dealers. Introducing brand-new characters, the series features some familiar faces including Fenech as ‘Rabbit’, Kev Taumata as ‘Rongo’, Alex Romano as ‘Jimmy the Junkie’, and Benny Maclean as ‘Pothead’. The series also features cameos from Angry Anderson, Greg King and Andy McPhee.

Characters from the series will also appear in the upcoming Dumb Criminals feature film, releasing nationally in October, 2015.

the series will be available at www.dumbcriminals.com.au
