In the south of France, former special-ops mercenary Frank Martin enters into a game of chess with a femme-fatale and her three sidekicks who are looking for revenge against a sinister Russian kingpin.
Questions about whether or not The Transporter needed to be a trilogy, ever sense the second movie of the original trilogy back in 2005. This attempt at rebooting the franchise really failed in shaking off those questions and about halfway through the movie I was the feeling in the pit of my stomach of ‘why am I watching this?’
When I realised that refueled was directed by Camille Delamarre, the same director responsible for Brick Mansions the remake of District 13 I knew that I was in the hands of a truly incompetent director.
I’m really not that familiar with Ed Skrein’s work he really seemed like a poor choice for this attempted reboot it was almost as if he was a square peg trying to be hammered into a round hole. When I first heard that another Transporter movie was going to be made I thought that Chris Vance who played Frank Martin in the television series should have been given the role. After watching this movie I still think he should have been given the role.
