Village Cinemas Australia has sold the exclusive Melbourne fan event for The Hateful Eight in just over an hour where Village Cinemas Rivoli will play host to legendary film director Quentin Tarantino and Hollywood star Kurt Russell on Sunday 17th January.

Hosting a Q&A screening with Kurt and Quentin at the in iconic heritage listed setting of Village Cinemas Rivoli is the perfect theatrical launch for the film.” Village Cinemas General Manager Sales and Marketing Mohit Bhargava commented
Bhargava explained that tickets to the event, to be shown in glorious 70mm and followed by a highly anticipated Q&A with Tarantino and Russell, were hot property this morning as fans everywhere grappled to secure their seats. This high level of demand has exceeded all expectations, with enthusiasm and excitement amongst fans emerging on social media over night.

The Hateful Eight will release in Australia in 70mm on January 14, 2016 followed by a wide digital release on January 21, 2016.
