It goes without saying that if you plan to go see The Peanuts Movie before it is released on DVD and you are over the age of 30 the standard ‘rent-a-kid’ rules apply. Yes I know I have been procrastinating a lot with this review but here it is. Fans of Peanuts are going to love this movie and I am pretty sure that anybody who goes to see this is going to have a warm and fuzzy feeling by the time that they leave the cinema because Peanuts has the kind of message that everybody needs to be reminded of.
It was also good to see that the movie stayed true to the artwork of the spirit of the comic strip (this is a delightful change to the trend of the movies adapted from a source material that ignore the source material), that possibly could have to do with the fact that Schulz’s son and grandson where involved with the writing of the movie. It was also good to see that the voice actors cast in lead roles (apart from Snoopy) where around the same age of the character that they were voicing.
