ACT Minister for Police and Emergency Services Simon Corbell has announced that the latest Report on Government Services that was recently released shows that the ACT continues to provide nation leading emergency services.
“For the seventh straight year, the ACT Ambulance Service has improved Code 1 emergency response times at both the 50th and 90th percentile indicators, while coping with a continued increase in levels of demand,” Mr. Corbell commented “ACTAS also reported the fastest response times in the nation at the Capital City 90th Percentile, and responded to 90 percent of cases in 12.5 minutes or less. Satisfaction with ambulance services organisations has remained constant at 98% for respondents that reported they had an overall satisfaction of either very satisfied or satisfied.” Corbell added.
Mr. Corbell explained that ACTAS also recorded the fastest response times in the nation at the Capital City 50th Percentile, where ACTAS responded to 50 percent of cases in 8 minutes or less. Corbell added that ACT Fire and Rescue improved structural fire response times in the 2016 report and arrived at the incident at 50% of incidents in less than 7 minutes, the second fastest response time of the reported major capital cities.
“I congratulate the staff who work in our emergency services year-round on the results shown in the 2016 ROGS report and thank them for their dedicated work for the ACT community,” Mr Corbell commented.
