A father is without the means to pay for his daughter’s medical treatment. As a last resort, he partners with a greedy co-worker to rob a casino. When things go awry they’re forced to hijack a city bus.
Finding this one at your friendly DVD Store or Kiosk could for the simple reason that it has two different English titles the other being Heist.
Admittedly this is a rather simplistic movie (especially considering that it utilizes my favourite heist movie trope the explanation of the twist at the end) but that it is nothing that really should be held against it and I was kind of impressed with what director Scott Mann did with the movie. I’m vaguely familiar with Mann’s work having previously come across his 2009 movie The Tournament.
Robert De Niro anchors this movie allowing lesser known actors step up, I was kind of impressed with David Bautista’s performance who seems to have come a long way as an actor since his appearance in the 2012 movie Scorpion King 3. I also have to admit that after watching this that I’m starting appreciate Jeffery Dean Morgan’s work as an actor.
I also enjoyed the movie’s soundtrack of particular note was the movie’s version of wheels on the bus known as Wheels No Chimes.
