Moore plays the role of ‘invader’, visiting a host of nations including Italy, France, Germany and Tunisia to commandeer policies and ideas that will improve prospects in America. What he finds is that the solutions to America’s most entrenched problems already exist in the world—they’re just waiting to be captured.
The latest Michael Moore documentary. This was released in March, but I have only just had the chance to see it. A great documentary that examines the “best” practices around the World including healthy school lunches, education, prisons, equality for women, holidays… He claims them for America, planting the Stars and Stripes flag. This is “Where to invade Next” fits in. I was mistakenly expecting an anti war doco. This feels like a return to Michael Moore’s earlier works. He manages to be funny while raising some very serious issues. I found it very inspiring. One of Mr. Moore’s more uplifting documentaries. You do not feel like he is preaching to you in this one. Definitely take the time to see this one. Learn something new, open your mind to some great ideas and be entertained.
