Col. Katherine Powell, a military officer in command of an operation to capture terrorists in Kenya, sees her mission escalate when a girl enters the kill zone triggering an international dispute over the implications of modern warfare.

When asked at a screening of Eye in the Sky about working with Alan Rickman in the actor’s final film role, Gavin Hood revealed that Rickman stayed on set for three or four days after shooting wrapped to attend the wrap party and individually thank the film crew for its dedication. It should also be noted that this is the final live-action film role of Alan Rickman.

Going to see Eye in the sky brought me out of my comfort zone because I had to go into the Capitol Cinemas. As cinemas go The Capitol is decent enough, though I really would like to know the rationale behind the design of its second floor.
Eye in the Sky was a little more full on then I expected that it was going to be and after watching this I’m pretty sure that I will never be able to make any of those decisions that were made in the movie. I’m not overly familiar with director Gavin Hood’s work though I have seen a couple of the other movies that his directed the last being Ender’s Game. As you would expect there where brilliant performances by both Alan Rickman and Helen Mirren while Aaron Paul (whose work I have to admit I’m not overly familiar with his work) and along with Phoebe Fox gave a solid performance.
I’ve spoken about this before but I need to talk about it again but first time child actors give the best performances because they don’t have the burden of their experience as an actor to hold them back and this is the case with Aisha Takow who was the emotional heart of the movie along with Paul and Fox.
