Political interference in the Avengers’ activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.
As you should all know by now is that I’m not the biggest comic book fan (so I am in no position to comment on any differences if there are indeed any between the movie and the 2006-2007 Civil War storyline) but I definitely have an appreciation of the cinematic universe that Marvel have developed for us all to delve into. Without giving away any spoilers I loved the introduction of Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther. A small plea to the good people at Marvel Movies as an interesting interpretation Tom Holland seems to have of Peter Parker if you insist on giving us another superhero origin story for Tom Holland’s tenure as Spiderman so please take a leaf out of the Deadpool movie on how you construct your origin story.
With the brother directing team of Joe and Anthony Russo it was good to see that they were not first time directors, I loved the style that they brought to Civil War and it’s great that they are also attatched to direct Avengers: Infinity War. It should be noted that the brothers seem to have a strong background in TV comedy having worked on such shows as Community and Happy Endings though they seemed more then capable of bringing some decent actions screens to the screen of particular note is the airport sequence and with the exception of Deadpool, Civil War is probably one of the best comic book movies that I have seen in the past five years.
