Eventcepts is incredibly excited to announce that preparations have begun for the arrival of Ms. Susan Sarandon into Melbourne, marking her first visit to the city. The Academy Award winning actress is traveling to participate in two La Dolce Italia events, where she will share tales of her revered life and career. Fittingly, Ms. Sarandon’s visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of one of her most popular films, Thelma and Louise.
Taking part in a luncheon and an evening presentation, Ms. Sarandon is set to showcase all of the inspirational style, grace, and determination that has seen her become as respected for her social activism as she is for her film career. With Italian bloodlines on her mother’s side, Ms. Sarandon’s association with La Dolce Italia is a nod to her heritage, as well as a show of support for the festival’s charity partner for 2016/17, Bully Zero Foundation Australia. “I’m very excited to visit Melbourne for the first time, especially to participate in events that support such a worthy cause,” Sarandon commented “As a mother and a grandmother, working with causes that support the protection of children is incredibly important to me.”
Eventcepts’ Director Connie Paglianiti says she is thrilled that Susan is making her first trip to Melbourne for La Dolce Italia events. “Ms. Sarandon’s career is one of incredible diversity, and she is a wonderful example of not only raw talent, but the ability to remain relevant, active, and passionate,” Paglianiti commented “These are all attributes that work hand in hand with La Dolce Italia’s philosophy of presenting wonderful, iconic cultural events that simultaneously support worthy causes. I am thrilled that she will be sharing some of her story with us.”
Ms. Sarandon will travel to Melbourne in August, with both events taking place on Sunday, 7th August 2016. For Details and Tickets
