Congratulations to the TV Week Logie Winners

Waleed Aly beat his fellow Project co-host and last year’s Gold Logie winner Carrie Bickmore, as well as Scott Cam, Essie Davis, Grant Denyer and social media favourite Lee Lin Chin. “It’s very humbling,” Waleed commented. “There is a statement being made by the audience when that happens, and that’s incredibly flattering. Because, I never honestly thought of myself as really ever being in the conversation.”
After taking out the award for Best Presenter Waleed said that It’s a real surprise, because I’ve always kind of assumed Logies were for other people,” Waleed added after also taking out the award for Best Presenter.
Australian TV legend Noni Hazlehurst was inducted into the TV WEEK Logies Hall of Fame. “I’m really proud to be recognised,” Mrs Hazlehurst “But, there are many equally deserving women who should have been acknowledged before this. Hopefully, the glacier will keep moving forward.”
Of the newcomer awards that where won on Sunday, the three winners, Joel Jackson (Most Outstanding Newcomer – Actor) Melina Vidler (Most Outstanding Newcomer – Actress) and Ky Baldwin (The Graham Kennedy Breakthrough Star of Tomorrow Award) will each receive a round-trip ticket to Los Angeles flying with Virgin Australia.
