The Four Horsemen resurface and are forcibly recruited by a tech genius to pull off their most impossible heist yet.
Why was this one made? Should this have been made? Well I suppose the easy answer is that every movie studio feels the need to have a film franchise on the go though they need to realise that not every movie deserve to be in a franchise let alone have a sequel. I wasn’t that impressed by this, it was a spur of the moment decision to see this and in retrospect I should of gone home instead of endure this embarrassment that was served up by Jon M Chu (I will admit that maybe I am a little bias against Chu’s work, so if anybody knows of a good movie that he has directed please tell me).
Lizzy Caplan was cast as a new character because Isla Fisher was unable to reprise her role due to her pregnancy. I suppose the only good thing about Caplan’s role was that they did not try to pass her of as Fisher’s character. Her character deserved the kind introduction that the horseman received in the first movie and unfortunately she did not give the best of performances and should have dialled the intensity of her performance back a couple of notches.
