The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people, and their home.

I was intending to see Warcraft about a day earlier then I did, but as you all know by now. I get there in the end.

This is not the best video game adaption but then again its by no way the worst either (Bonus points to Blizzard to not selling Uwe Boll the movie rights).
Recently I read that there were plans to make a warcraft movie around 2006 and it seems that it was worth the wait at least from a visual standpoint. The visual look of the movie was this big, bold, beautiful feast for the eyes this was because of the involvement of the weta workshop.
I suppose some of the characters might feel a little underdeveloped but that can be forgiven because there is almost certainly going to be sequels so the writers are going to have to have something to play with if they are going to bring things forward. This assumption of course is based purely on the size of warcraft as a game franchise. It would not surprise me if plans for the sequels where made during the filming of the current movie.
I suppose my biggest complaint would be that the accent Australian actor Travis Fimmel used reminded me a little too much of his character Ragnar Lothbrok from the History channel’s 2013 series Vikings. Let me be perfectly clear, there is nothing wrong with an Australian actor using an accent for a role, it is just that Fimmel should of used a different accent considering the role of Ragnar Lothbrok is one of Fimmel’s more notable roles.
