unINDIAN is an Australian romantic comedy with a lot of heart and little bit of spice. It follows the chequered path of Aussie bloke Will (Brett Lee), as he attempts to woo Meera (Tannishtha Chatterjee), a gorgeous Indian woman who lives in Sydney with her daughter. Alongside cricket superstar Lee, and internationally acclaimed actress Tannishtha Chatterjee (Bhopal: A Prayer of Rain, Siddharth, Brick Lane), the film’s illustrious support cast includes; John Howard, Tiriel Mora, Maya Sathimoorthy, Arka Das, Sarah Roberts, Adam Dunn, Nicholas Brown, Kumud Merani, Bollywood stars Supriyaji Pathak Kapur and Akash Kurana, Gulshan Grover and Australia’s very own Bollywood Queen, Pallavi Sharda.
unINDIAN will premiere in India on August 19, where Brett Lee , Tannishtha Chatterjee, Bollywood stars Supriya Pathak, Gulshan Grover and Akash Khurana with Director Anupam Sharma will walk the red carpet at a gathering expected to have a who’s who of Indian Cricket and Bollywood stars. A spokesperson for Screen Australia explained that unINDIAN will become one of the rare few Aussie indie films to have such a big release in India and Middle east along with theatrical offers from USA and Canada.
