As Batman hunts for the escaped Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime attacks the Gordon family to prove a diabolical point mirroring his own fall into madness.
A little bit of research might of been a good idea for me going into this, I was aware of the significance of the story that was being told but I have never read the graphic novel because I might of overhyped the story in my mind. Now maybe I might just be being a cynical reviewer who has watched one too many movies but I really thought that it was going to be a little more creepy and disturbing then it actually was and perhaps giving a movie with a runtime of 76 minutes a cinematic release (even if it seems that its getting one day in the cinemas) might of been a little overly generous.
Though remember this is definitely something that is worth checking out when it gets released on DVD especially because of Mark Hamill (if you haven’t Hamill perform Joker’s Eulogy for Batman I highly recommend it) and Kevin Conroy’s voice work as The Joker and Batman respectively, The Joker’s song and dance number and the point that he makes about the line between normality and madness.
