The prestigious BFI London Film Festival has announced its program for its 60th edition, selecting Australian short film ‘Highway’, written and directed by Vanessa Gazy and produced by Tim Russell and Michael Wark.
On being selected for the BFI London Film Festival, director Vanessa Gazy said, “We are truly thrilled to have been selected for the BFI London Film Festival. It is a great honour to be given the opportunity to showcase our little piece of Australian cinema on such an exciting international stage. ”
‘Highway’ was largely financed through a grant awarded from Screen ACT, Canberra’s local film agency, and is the second collaboration between filmmakers Tim Russell and Michael Wark after their short film ‘The Driver’ screened to widespread domestic and international acclaim this year.
