As a math savant un-cooks the books for a new client, the Treasury Department closes in on his activities and the body count starts to rise.
Alright there might of been a slight case of procrastination on going to see one and I was kind of glad that I did, even though the plot might of seemed a little bloated and part of me would have liked to see the movie go in a slightly different direction. One of the best things about this movie is that people with any form of a disability are rarely cast as the heroic lead characters in a movie. The last time I can recall that happening in an action movie is 13 years ago in Mark Steven Johnson’s 2003 movie Daredevil, which also starred Affleck.
The movie had decent enough flow it and has a solid cast who each are drawcards for a movie in their own right. I would have liked to have been more involved with the Treasury Department investigation side of the plot. Though, I was kind of impressed with the monologue that J.K. Simmons’ character gave in the final act of the movie.
