Australia’s first kids concept cinema, Vjunior, celebrated its grand opening last night at Village Cinemas Southland. Ambassador, Luke Darcy, welcomed over 200 guests to a screening of the most anticipated kids film of the year, Trolls. Among VIPs and their children included Rozalia Russian, Sophie Cachia, Kylie Brown, Olivia Anderson, Renee Enright, Jess Dempsey, Brendan Fevolva, Brent Harvey, Daniel Giansiracusa, and Andi Lew.
“We are truly overwhelmed with the turnout at last night’s event.” General Manager of Sales & Marketing, Mohit Bhargava commented “Looking after our younger guests is so important to us, and we are thrilled to have delivered such an exciting cinema experience to the kids for the very first time.”
Mr. Bhargava explained that guests were among the first in Australia to experience the cinema, which combines two things that kids love – movies & play. Activities for the kids included building block walls, light projection games, Hot Wheels activity tables and more. The in-cinema feature slide proved to be the highlight of the evening– giving kids a truly unique cinematic experience. Kids sang along to the film in their comfy seats, including custom fit bean-bag seats and lounges, whilst the parents relaxed in traditional cinema seats, situated in the 3-4 back rows. Children were treated to a specially made hot food pack, and delicious sundaes over the intermission.
