The City of Port Phillip is pleased to announce the coveted line up for Australia’s largest music festival, St Kilda Festival on Sunday 12 February 2017. The St Kilda Festival Main Stage will play host to Drapht, Emma Louise, Archie Roach, The Aston Shuffle (DJ set), The Smith Street Band, Clairy Browne, Daryl Braithwaite and Mitch King (2016 New Music Stage Competition Winner).
Port Phillip Council Mayor Bernadene Voss welcomed festival-goers from all around the world who are drawn to the City of Port Phillip for St Kilda Festival each year.
“St Kilda Festival has been a part of the City of Port Phillip’s DNA for over 30 years, and is an integral part of our summer celebrations. As a true testament to the Festival, crowds that visit locally and from all around Australia and the world, continue to grow in diversity and size,” Cr Voss commented “The Festival has supported the careers of many of Australia’s most loved artists, and helped uncover others. We are really proud of that and being able to offer artists a platform that fosters their development.”
Cr Voss said that on Sunday 12 February 2017, we will once again see St Kilda’s iconic streets transformed into one of Australia’s largest community events; a fusion of free live music, dance, carnival rides, sports, market stalls, kids’ activities, extended business trading and entertainment for all ages.
