A freak tsunami traps shoppers at a coastal Australian supermarket inside the building – along with 12-foot Great White Sharks.
I’m not the biggest fan of the large carnivorous animal run amuck genre. Possibly the last good movie made of that genre was probably Renny Harlin’s 1999 movie Deep Blue Sea, probably only because of Samuel L. Jackson’s death scene. But I suppose I will have to explore that in another review.
There really wasn’t anything that fantastic about this movie and from what I have read about Bait at the time I was largely avoided in Australia. There was none of the familiar faces that you would normally expect to see cast in Australian movie. Despite what seems to be a less then memorable plot, I’d possibly recommend watching this but only if you can track down a Blu-ray copy because the filmmakers delivered something that was pretty. But unfortunately, this was not the whole package.
