Sherlock: The Six Thatchers was the most watched programme over the festive season across all channels, with 11.3 million viewers tuning in according to recently issued consolidated viewing data. The 90-minute episode, which aired on New Year’s Day 2017, achieved a consolidated audience share of 37.8 percent.

Moore explained that Last year, Sherlock: The Abominable Bride topped the festive ratings, with 11.6 million viewers.
