Lisa Mitchell recently launched the new video for her latest single ‘Warriors’ at an exclusive screening at the iconic Golden Age Cinema in Sydney. The event saw the premiere of the film clip, followed by live performances by Lisa Mitchell, Sarah Belkner, Jack Colwell and recent ARIA award winner Montaigne.
‘Warriors’ is title track of Mitchell’s latest album and the second instalment of a two-part visual story, which also includes the single ‘Warhol’. Mitchell’s new album debuted top ten in the ARIA charts last year. The music videos are directed by Vanessa Gazy and produced by Tim Russell, and feature award-winning Australian actor Hunter Page-Lochard from ‘Cleverman’ and ‘The Sapphires’.
“It’s been exciting to bring to life these two connected but also distinct worlds which combine elements of the natural world as a kind of character itself, internal landscapes/dreamscapes, and female identity. All while collaborating with a creatively compatible, talented artist in Lisa who herself has a highly visual imagination.” Director Vanessa Gazy commented. Gazy went on to explain that the two clips were filmed over three days west of Sydney.
