When the Justice League comes upon a supernatural force against which even their powers seem useless, Batman assembles a second League of mystic heroes – the likes of Swamp Thing, the Demon, and Constantine – to help defeat this magical, otherworldly threat.
I’ll admit it. I wanted to watch Justice League Dark because it featured John Constantine, I’m a fan of the short lived Constantine live-action television series from 2014. Doesn’t worry if you haven’t heard it, the series lasted for one season. Even though this is an animated movie with its supernatural themes Justice League Dark is something that you won’t find with most of the other comic book movies that have been released.
In the past I’ve mentioned that I don’t read comic books and with Justice League Dark (so I’m not going to drop the guillotine on this one, there are other people out there on the net for doing that) but personally I felt that as a casual fan I needed more information about the character’s relationships particularly with Constantine. There needed to be more exposition, a Justice League Dark sequel or more movies (with the care that Marvel has put into constructing the MCU).
