Cross wars is the sequel to the 2011 movie that was written and directed by Patrick Durham. I suppose the only good points about this was the sense of directorial continuity, that the best I can tell there was no instances in this franchise of characters being portrayed by two actors in the different movies and how the story was told to the audience seemed to be inspired by The Princess Bride in that it was a comic book being read by a young boy and his mother.
The really wasn’t anything else that was good about this movie, I would say that Cross Wars was an embarrassment to Cross but that said with a pair of rose coloured glasses and not having actually re-watched the original. Though after casting a look back to the review I wrote for the original there is a chance that I might have become a little grumpier as I’ve got older considering the score I gave Cross. The acting (if you can call it that) was so bad that it was nearly offensive and the overall feel of the movie would have been benefited if Durham had more money to spend on the special effects.
In case you are wondering once the credits rolled my first thought was ‘where is the nearest brick wall?’
