When the galaxy comes under the threat of a nefarious space captain, a mechanic and his newfound robot ally join an elite squad of combatants to save the universe.
I’ve been putting off watching this one for the longest time, and I am kind of curious to hear what other people thought about this one (particularly from parents with young kids).
For those of you who might be interested the Ratchet and Clank is adapted from a video game series of the name for the PlayStation that was first released back in 2002.
Though I was completely unfamiliar with the Ratchet and Clank video games I found the movie to be a watchable and the plot was kind of simplistic (but in a good way) I also liked how self-aware the movie seemed to be. I liked Paul Giamatti’s performance Chairman Drek. I know that it probably is not the case but I could not help but suspect that Drek was a subtle dig at Donald Trump. I really wasn’t that familiar with the co-directors Kevin Munroe, Jericca Cleland work though fans of the game series might like to know that one of the writers involved with the movie T.J Fixman had previously worked on Ratchet and Clank video games.
