Commuters and tourists on Sydney ferries travelling between Circular Quay and Manly can now buy a beer on their afternoon or evening journey.
“After a thorough assessment Harbour City Ferries awarded the contract to 4 Pines to operate bars and cafés on the Manly ferries,” Sydney Harbour Ferries Managing Director, Martin Kearney commented “4 Pines will offer a range of craft beers and ciders as well as a range of non-alcoholic beverages and healthier food items on the four Manly ferries Narrabeen, Collaroy, Queenscliff and Freshwater, seven days week,” Kearney added.
Mr. Kearney explained that 4 Pines will offer a range of craft beers and ciders as well as a range of non-alcoholic beverages and healthier food items on the four Manly ferries Narrabeen, Collaroy, Queenscliff and Freshwater, seven days week, Food will be available throughout the day and 4 Pines beers will be available from 4 – 8pm.
“The move brings Sydney into line with ferry services around the world and Australia, offering a bar service. Sydney ferries are popular with tourists and I am certain the prospect of an iconic Australian craft beer such as 4 Pines will appeal to many of them.” Mr. Kearney commented “It’s just the latest move by Harbour City Ferries to improve the customer experience on our ferries. Extra security will be on board during the peak times of operation. The bar service is about improving customer experience and providing an additional service to customers.”
4 Pines Co-Founder, Jaron Mitchell, said 4 Pines began in Manly almost a decade ago and is delighted to be a part of the bar and refreshments service on the Manly ferries.
