Guerrero returns from the dead once more to protect a stolen relic from getting into the hands of a gang of soldiers, which will ultimately cause hell upon earth.
Westerns are a favourite genre of mine and considering that there are not a lot of westerns made it’s a good thing that so many filmmakers are starting to cross genres with westerns. Now it should be noted that Dead Again in Tombstone is a sequel to Roel Reiné’s 2013 movie Dead in Tombstone and don’t worry if you haven’t watched the first movie. Events from the previous movie are hit, but it is nothing that will cause any confusion to what is going with this movie. Previous movies that I have seen directed by Reiné will probably be featured on the ‘why did I watch that list?’ That being said, Dead Again in Tombstone is a watchable movie and I like seeing directorial continuity when it comes movie sequels.
I find that when it comes to watching movies featuring Danny Trejo that its more of a gamble as whether or not you are going to watch a good movie then with other action stars. I suppose that with a filmography of 360 credits there are pluses and minuses to rightfully considered one of the go to hard-men. Trejo won’t be winning any awards as result of this performance, its pretty much what you would expect from him, though his character does have a couple of good jokes. Jake Busey made for good choice as the villain of the movie as his pretty boy image was the opposite of Trejo’s.
