Paddo, heir to the throne of the Copperheads MC, has to betray his president to save his brother’s life. When this betrayal leads to a split in the club it results in civil war, forcing Paddo to choose between loyalty and blood.

I remember seeing something about the local cinemas but never actually got a chance to see it during its Cinematic run. Oh, and in case you go looking for it, One Percent is also known by its original title Outlaws.

Given, that One Percent’s seemingly short runtime I got the impression that the movie had a slower than that was needed. Now I admit that it has been a little while since I have watched an Australian Crime movie and yes, I was expecting a movie that had a faster pace to it. Things do get a little crazy once the movie has built up some steam from what I thought was a jarring opening that expects the audience to be able to swim. I was only really familiar with Matt Nable’s work, it should be noted that Nable also wrote the movie. Both Abbey Lee and Simone Kessell gave good performances, their characters left me thinking about the common adage “Behind every great man, there is a great woman.” I would have liked to have seen parts of Matt Nable’s character (the club president Knuck) explored further and I would have liked to have seen more from Aaron Pedersen’s character Sugar.
