“Roastmaster General” Jeff Ross and a slew of guest stars poke fun at major historical figures while also honoring their enduring impact on the world.
This small series is something that came up in my Netflix recommendations. Now I am a fan of a comedy roast as much as the next person, but the roasts in this small series (6 episodes each under 30 minutes long and are easily binged in a night) where not as good as they could be, there were several times that I found myself wanting to be watching a Comedy Central Roast and it seemed that Ross was coasting through most of the series and it could have used a few more stars known for their roasting abilities.
That being said I did enjoy find myself enjoying the performances of Jaleel White (as Muhammad Ali and Nelson Mandela) and Ryan Phillippe (as Julius Caesar).
