Super-assassin John Wick is on the run after killing a member of the international assassin’s guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head – he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.
We have a third John Wick movie and for those of you who might not have heard it seems that a fourth is in the works. For those of you who might be wondering did I do any homework before watching John Wick 3 by watching the previous movies? No, I didn’t, for those you who might feel the need to, considering that John Wick 3 picks up immediately after the previous movie, you’d probably only really need to watch the last half hour. As we all know the action sequences are the major draw card of this franchise however, in the opening act with John trying to get out of the city I would have liked to have seen that those scenes had a quicker pace.
I loved how the filmmakers continued to build on the shadowy world of assassins and for those of who still might be wondering about the significance of the gold coins Jerome Flynn’s character Berrada has a cool speech about their social significance. For the record I am not that familiar with Asia Kate Dillon’s work. I loved Dillon’s performance as The adjudicator. The character was sinister in an upper management sort of way and I loved the character’s voice. I also enjoyed Hale Berry’s character Sofia and her character’s dogs are amazing.
