The British monarch’s favourite dog Rex gets lost from the palace and finds himself at a dog fight club. He then begins his long journey to find his way back home.

I suppose it’s time that I review at least one animated film, and considering that this one is on Google Play I can escape any judgmental gazes of the parents considering that I am over age of 35 and don’t go to children’s movies at the cinema.
For parents of more sensitive children out there take note the ‘dog fight club’ is run by dogs at a dog pound, which is the source of some the more scarier scenes of the movie. But The Queen’s Corgi is a light hearted movie about the importance of discovering your true self and what is important to you. As you would expect with an animated movie there are a few jokes for the older viewers of the movie, though the portrayal of might have been a little harsh, though it was good to see there was some restraint by the filmmakers and no mushroom jokes.
Apparently there are two different voice casts for The Queen’s Corgi one for the United Kingdom and one for the United States. I watched the version with the United Kingdom voice cast and both Jack Whitehall and Ray Winstone gave good performances as Rex and Tyson.
