JD Watt, Australian based author, has announced the release of the 2nd Edition of his novel, “BURNT… the true story of a woman’s deception and a man’s broken heart”. The story chronicles a love affair that started in a well-known Sydney bar, and is set against the backdrop of Sydney’s magnificent harbourside suburbs and the hustle and bustle of exotic Singapore. Michael, a 51-year-old wealthy and devastatingly handsome professional falls in love with Simone, a petite intelligent and well-travelled Italian girl 20 years his junior. The novel is written through the eyes of Michael and includes the unedited instant text message dialogue of the lover’s journey.
JD stated that the book highlights the perils of real time messaging in the digital age, and how the “send button” can uncover the naked truth without any chance to undo the damage that may have been caused.
“the release of the second edition has given me the opportunity to rework parts of the novel to make it even more authentic” Watt commented “it’s a lot steamier than the first; the texts are all unedited”. The dialogue presented in instant messages makes for an intriguing, easy and captivating read.”
JD explained that he wanted the book to reverse the traditional paradigm of infidelity, warning “that deception doesn’t always wear a Zegna suit”. The world of instant messaging and your online footprint brings a whole new reality to the dating dynamic.
BURNT by JD Watt is now available globally on Amazon Kindle APP and print and in bookstores globally via the Ingram Sparks global online and retail network.
