A duel between a suspected murderer and a detective pressed by people who want results. But whose skin is really wanted.
It should be noted that yes, I have watched this one before, but I never actually sat down to review it for the site. For those of you who have not heard of The Interview this is an Australian movie that was released back in 1998 and is completely different to the movie of the same name that was released in 2014. An alternate ending of the film was featured on the DVD release.
I am not that familiar with director Craig Monahan’s work. Apparently at the time this looks to have been Monahan’s first feature film. There is a solid cast and a lot of familiar faces that you would expect to see in an Australian police movie. As you would expect Tony Martin was hard as nails and Aaron Jeffery seemed to own his role and the pair worked brilliantly off of Hugo Weaving.
The Interview has a good slow that leads into a very juicy third act which was written brilliantly by Craig Monahan and Gordon Davie.
