An NYPD hostage negotiator teams up with a federal agent to rescue dozens of tourists held hostage during a 10-hour siege at the U.S. Federal Reserve.

This is supposed to be a sequel to the 2006 movie directed by Spike Lee Inside Man. There is a valuable lesson out there for aspiring filmmakers in regard to sequels, just because you want to write a sequel to your favourite movie and that you have all the necessary rites that allow you to make your movie it doesn’t mean that you should actually make your sequel. It should also be noted that this particularly offering has negatively affected my opinion of M.J. Bassett’s skills as a director.
it was good to see that Most Wanted at least attempted to be one of those sequel movies that at least try to reference the original movie. But considering the length of time that has elapsed since the release of Inside man Most Wanted is a faux sequel that really should have tried to be a grown-up movie and stand on its own two feet and not reference a superior movie.
I was completely unfamiliar with any of the actors who were cast in this, though I kind of enjoyed Aml Ameen’s and Rhea Seehorn’s performances. But the thing is the filmmakers really didn’t go out of their way to give you a reason to care about the characters until about an hour into the movie and then it was too little to late. As a heist movie Most Wanted is forgettable.
