When an Interpol-issued Red Notice the highest-level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop”.

For those of you who might be interested as I understand it Red Notice has had the biggest opening day for a Netflix movie. Now, yes, I do go on an awful lot about the importance of seeing movies in the cinema I am kind of glad that I didn’t catch this one at the friendly neighbourhood cinema. In the past I have said that ‘It is very easy to enjoy a Ryan Reynolds performance’ I would like to take the time to say to Rawson Marshall Thurber that even Red Notice is a watchable through the performances of your lead actors you delivered what is a forgettable movie. Though we need to remember that any actor is only as good as the material that they are given. For the most part Reynolds’ performance was awkward, and it seemed to lack the charm you would expect from most of his roles. I suppose one comforting thing about Red Notice was that Dwayne Johnson’s was nothing like Hobbs from the Fast & Furious Franchise. I’ve always thought Heist movies should be slick, intelligent, and funny. And to be honest Red Notice barely even qualifies especially taking into consideration ‘The A-Team’ vibe of its action sequences and that the only decent laughs in the movie came during the Ed Sheeran cameo.
