With Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, Peter asks Doctor Strange for help. When a spell goes wrong, dangerous foes from other worlds start to appear, forcing Peter to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.
Just so you know when you get the chance to go and see this one you don’t need to re-watch Spiderman Homecoming because the movie essentially picks up where Homecoming left off with Peter Parker being revealed as Spiderman. It was great to see that with the trilogy of Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland there was the same director Jon Watts for the entire trilogy. One of my biggest movie pet peeves is a lack of directorial with a movie trilogy. I will admit that over the past two movies I have started to appreciate Jacob Batalon’s performances as Ned and the direction of the character. I really hope that he is capable of more, I might have to check out one of his movies (if I remember to). Some of the comic book movies can be a little hit and miss at times but after watching No Way Home I am a little excited for the direction of MCU after a couple comic book had left me feeling weary of the genre. The casting of the other incarnations of Spiderman Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire alongside Tom Holland was a great move by the filmmakers, I loved their scenes together on top of the Statue of Liberty in the lead up to the climax of the film. With the use of the of the multiverse it will be interesting to see if Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s will be feature in other movies. Or how many other character will meet alternate versions of themselves. It was great to see the villains of past movies cast in this Willem Dafoe was creepier than I remember as Green Goblin. I loved the dynamic between Doctor Strange and Tom Holland’s Spiderman considering their history it’s clear that they are equals and yet they are not because Parker is still in high school.
Be sure to watch the end credits for the extra scenes
