Two Unemployed Actors is a weekly podcast, hosted by Australian Actors Max Belmonte and Sam Folden. They interview a range of industry professionals from all walks of life including Casting Directors, Writers, Stunt performers, Agents, and of course, other Actors. Now in its third year, Two Unemployed Actors has a new season with A-lister guest interviews and dynamic discussions about what really happens behind the scenes and authentic advice on how to make it in showbiz. Listeners can also expect to hear film and TV reviews, comedic commentary on pop culture and of course, entertaining perspectives from Max Belmonte and Sam Folden about their journey auditioning for roles and being on set. The new episode of Two Unemployed Actors has just dropped (for those of you interested the first one that I have watched) featuring a discussion with Stunt Co-Ordinator/Director Sam Hargrave. Hargrave directed the 2020 movie Extraction staring Chris Hemsworth and has returned to direct Extraction 2. Hargrave has also worked on Charlize Theron’s 2017 movie Atomic Blonde. Considering that I have not had the opportunity to interview anybody with a stunt background before I found a lot of what Sam had to say to be very interesting. What he had to say about the work ethic of Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron certainly translated to the final product on the screen. While listening to the podcast I was happy to learn that Hargrave was involved with movies that have some of my favourite stunt sequences.
