The Cavoodle has become Australia’s most searched dog breed on Google. Pet Parlour (an online pet shop servicing Australian pet owners) looked at Google’s monthly search volume for dog breeds in August 2022 and compared that data to August 2017. It was found that Cavoodle had becomes the most searched dog breed with over 90,000 searches in August 2022. This is up from 27,000 searches in August 2017.
Tom Sadler, Founder of Pet Parlour referred to the results; “It’s really interesting to have seen the rise of the Oodle over the last 5 years. They are seen as perfect family pets due to their friendly nature and hypoallergenic qualities” Sadler went on to point out that the second most searched dog breed was the Golden Retriever with 74,000 searches, up from 22,000 searches in 2017. In third place was the Border Collie with 72,000 searches. Sadler said that in another win for the Oodles the Groodle was the 8th most searched for breed up 10 places since 2017, whilst the Labradoodle came in at number 10, up 3 spots from the 2017 rankings.
