The scientist behind the government’s secret time travel/teleportation project leaves with it on a passenger airplane when the government decides to militarize it.
Okay, I have been procrastinating a lot through the month of January so I suppose I should get back to work and with the first crappy movie that I have watched for 2023. Now I do believe that the filmmakers had a decent enough concept for Termination Point but it just lost something in its execution. The biggest problem for any movie like this is when not enough money is spent on the visual effects, the phrase ‘you get what you paid for’ certainly is accurate to describe what was put on the screen. In the past I have joked about my hatred of movies released by The Asylum, though I really haven’t kept track of all the studios that are on that list. I might have to add Ammo Content and Cinetel Films based on the experience of watching Termination Point. This is the kind of movie where you might find yourself cheering against humanity. Jason Priestley certainly was an odd casting choice. I don’t think I have ever seen him as an action lead and after watching Termination Point I doubt that I will be in a hurry anytime soon. The other odd performance seemed to be Michael Eklund who seemed to give some sort of homage to Matthew Lillard. On a side note the IMDB trivia page for Termination Point is hilarious reading. It would have made the better movie, even if the trivia comes across as possibly fabricated.
