They discovered which films have received the most complaints regarding the fake Australian accents performed, the results are in.‘’Authenticity in film matters because it transcends boundaries, showing that language is not just about words but also about culture and context. It enhances viewers’ experience by making stories more honest, relatable, and impactful. A bad accent can be distracting and detract from the story. Instead of being immersed in the plot, viewers may be preoccupied with the accent, especially if it doesn’t ring true to their everyday speech” Sylvia Johnson, the language expert from Preply, commented
