Left for dead by her rich and powerful stepmother, Snow White is taken in by a team of samurai assassins who train her in their ways of fighting. As her stepmother becomes more and more powerful, Snow White and the samurai take up arms to topple her once and for all.

Yes, I know I probably shouldn’t have even bothered with this one considering have bitched about The Aylum films in the past. With the upcoming release of Disney’s live action adaptation of Snow White I needed a ‘bad movie baseline’ for when it comes to Snow White, At best Snow White & the Seven Samurai was an uninspired movie. With all the drama surrounding Disney’s Snow White I’m legitimately interested to see if Disney will exceed the Seven Samurai or limbo underneath the bar set by The Asylum. This is an important thing to consider because though the seven samurai did have Snow White, the king, the huntsman and the evil queen The Asylum seemed to neglect to put a Magic Mirror’ in their movie.

Now it was kind of clever that ‘Snow White’ was a nickname because the king was in fact a Drug Barron. Also the writers did some homework because the Onna-Musha actually existed (Onna-Musha were a term referring to female warriors in pre-modern Japan, who were members of the bushi (warrior) class. They were trained in the use of weapons to protect their household, family, and honour in times of war.) though perhaps not how they were portrayed in the movie. My biggest complaint was that action sequences were completely unimpressive I expected more from a movie featuring Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
