
Award-Winning Rugby League Documentary ‘SHARKO’ Announces Selected Australia Q&A Event Screenings Prior to Digital Release across Australia and New Zealand. Following its triumphant hometown Sold Out premiere in Gladstone, documentary Sharko about New Zealand Rugby League icon Mark Graham, is set to embark on a series of special Q&A event screenings across Australia before its digital release on 21 April.
Produced and Directed by Mark’s filmmaker son Luke, Sharko is an intimate and inspiring deep dive into the life and career of his father Mark ‘Sharko’ Graham, a Rugby League legend whose journey through the sport has left an indelible mark on the game. The film captures not only the highs and lows of a professional athlete but also the personal resilience and community spirit that drive one of the game’s greatest figures. The selected event screenings will feature Q&A’s by Director Luke Graham, appearances by prominent Australian media personalities and Rugby League legends, offering audiences an exclusive chance to engage with the film’s creator.

The highly anticipated Q&A tour for Sharko is set to launch at the iconic Avoca Beach Theatre on the Central Coast. Hosted by Master of NRL Ceremonies Steve Allan and North Sydney Bears great David Fairleigh, the event will be supported by Bears fan group ‘The Den’, promising an unforgettable evening for rugby league fans. Next, the tour heads to the stunning Sunshine Coast, where legendary Queensland journalist Tony Durkin will host the screening, with special guests to be announced soon. In Perth, the passionate rugby league community will come together for a screening in Australia’s newest NRL city. Longtime Bears fan and radio personality Bruce Welsh will host the night, alongside the dedicated Western Australian NRL contingent. Sydney’s majestic Roseville Cinemas will welcome rugby league journalist Dean ‘Bulldog’ Ritchie and esteemed radio host and commentator Jono Farr for a night of insights and discussion. The SHARKO Q&A tour will conclude in Brisbane at the locally revered Five Star Cinemas New Farm. TV and radio presenter Jason Dasey will host the final event, ensuring a memorable end to an incredible tour. “Bringing SHARKO to audiences across Australia is an incredible honour.
