In the aftermath of Justice League: War, the world is at peace or so it seems. When Atlantis attacks the Metropolis for the death of their king. But the Queen has different plans and requires the Justice League to find her lost son. But while they search for him, Atlantian troops; led by Ocean Master, continue their assault. Who will win?
For those of you who might be interested the DC animated universe seems to have been around for longer than the MCU dating back to 1993 with Batman: Mark of the Phantasm. Though it should also be noted that unlike the MCU everything is not as neatly connected in the DC animated universe and thinking about that makes my head hurt a little.
Throne of Atlantis is a watchable movie though it should be noted that it’s not as dark as some of the other animated movies that DC has released and I might even find myself revisiting this one ahead of the release of Aquaman starring Jason Mormoa, should I feel the need to do any homework. And I suppose what I really like about the DCAU is that as you would expect voice actors reprise their roles in multiple movies which creates a relationship with an actor that you might not get from a live action performance.
