A ground-breaking collaboration between OzHelp Foundation and SIHQ will launch a new digital counseling platform to provide access to life saving mental health services to Australian workplaces across the country.
OzHelp and SIHQ have been developing the fully automated, encrypted video psychology platform over the past 18 months to provide essential health support to workers nationwide.
CEO of OzHelp, Tony Holland, was first introduced to the video platform concept after Canberra’s Festival of Bright Ideas in 2016.
“We are thrilled to have worked with SIHQ on this program – it has capacity to equip workers with vital tools to seek help and has the capacity to save lives,” Mr. Holland commented “The concept of digital and video counseling means we can enhance the accessibility, reach and delivery of our health support programs for Australian workers.”
Holland went on to explain that the newly developed platform automates the pre-existing booking system and integrates seamlessly into OzHelp’s existing IT infrastructure and support programs – improving the delivery of lifesaving services across regional areas. The encrypted video platform can deliver mental health support with face-to-face counselling to anyone in need, including people in regional and remote areas and those who may not be capable of travelling to services. The program is optimized to perform at the highest standard – even in locations with poor internet connection. It also ensures people can feel more comfortable seeking help and support in the comfort of their own home.
SIHQ Founder Joel Anderson is thrilled about launching the program. “It’s fantastic to see the system in action and having a positive impact on mental health services in the ACT region. The development of our platform would not have been possible without the support of OzHelp – who are huge supporters of our technology and digital innovation. We are now looking at a variety of other users across the nation for the platform which is now fully tested and ready to integrate on a national scale.” Anderson commented.
