Considering that it seems that LucasArts lost the keys to the money printing press and Marvel found then it is easy to assume that the franchise has problems. It is also a safe assumption that judging by fan reaction to the new movies of the expanded universe that the bar for Solo could be cleared in an electric wheelchair without the use of a ramp.

I like to take a moment to write a small message to Kathleen Kennedy. Know your audience forcing something down the throat of a given audience almost always has disastrous consequences. Marvel breaking Star Wars’ record should be considered one of them. Now, if you going to continue with your current course of action in regard to the Star Wars Expanded Universe might I suggest employing the use of scalpel instead of the use of a sledgehammer and a nitro-glycerine-based explosive (or if you prefer a reference from Solo through the use of unprocessed coaxium).

I will admit it Solo: A Star Wars Story, I liked it, compared to the newer Star Wars movies it is actually worth watching. A possible by-product of hiring a director who actually knows what he is doing. Solo has a completely different vibe to all of the other Star Wars movies. There was a couple of aspects to the characters that was talked about on other movie news purely to create buzz one of which really did not need to be discussed because it had no impact on the story (Disney created a similar trap when the released the live action version of Beauty and the Beast) and if you think about probably saved LucasArts a tonne of money on advertising. Emilia Clarke gave a good performance as did Donald Glover and Alden Ehrenreich. It should be noted that Ehrenreich was a good choice as a young Solo especially if you see side by side photos of him and a young Harrison Ford alongside each other. I was a little surprised to see Paul Bettany but it was good to see him in the role of a villain and Woody Harrelson seemed to be born to play the role of Beckett. Oh and it wont surprise me if we see a Han Solo trilogy
