This version originally released in 1999 this science fiction adaptation of the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf, may need to be watched to get a better sense of what is going on in the movie as it expects you to make some very large assumptions especially if you have had nothing to do with the original poem.

This is probably not something that should be served up to a younger viewing audience or those who love the original poem who may not hold well with the post apocalyptic setting of the movie.

Beowulf a wanderer is drawn to an outpost which is being terrorized by a man-eating creature called Grendel At times the dialogue comes off as being a tad overly melodramatic however, the Techno soundtrack and the action sequences more then make up for this. Remember don’t have high expectations for this one.
