Frank Dux competes in a full contact martial arts tournament known as the Kumite.
Bloodsport is said to be based on true events in the life of Frank W. Dux. However, if you do a little digging into Frank Dux’s life you will find controversy surrounding the existence of the Kumite, Dux’s military record and his martial arts training. Though Van Dame’s performance as Dux was considered as being his break out role. However, He came across as a baby face school boy and not a hardened martial artist, while Bolo Yeung has an amazing almost threatening on screen presence. Bloodsport is a poor offering of a film that could only be described as being predictable mindless entertainment.
