The Twilight Saga is definitely some kind of phenomenon. Whether it is a good or bad one, I can only leave open to your own personal interpretation. It is more than likely that there are more than a few boyfriends, who have been, forced or for that matter coerced into going to see this movie by their girlfriends. You will not have to suffer in silence while watching this movie, granted Eclipse is far from ever being considered as being a masterpiece. However, as vampire movies it solid, the whole franchise is, even if vampiric lore has been re-imagined. Now yes some of the performances where less then what they could have been. Particularly that of Dakota Fanning, who might have been a little to wooden and really did not bring that much to the screen. While Bryce Dallas Howard whose performance, as Victoria did not come across as a particularly threatening or for that matter scheming villain. Though, I have to wonder was Victoria’s role in the movie lessened for the sake of the overall length of the movie.
On a personal note, it really would have been good to see some continuity with the role of the director for the franchise.
