A big thank you to Lauren Esposito for taking the time to be interviewed. Lauren is staring as Zoe Caldera in the upcoming movie The Legend of the Five which is coming to Australian cinemas on June 25 in Victoria with other states to follow as cinemas reopen and to coincide with the school holidays. .
What attracted you to the role of Zoe and to The Legend of the Five?
What I loved most about the character of Zoe is that she stands for what she believes in and is courageous, kind and a true leader.
What can audiences expect from The Legend of the Five?’
Audiences across Australia can expect a fun, warm heartfelt family fantasy film full of laughter, adventure and friendship.
Were there any particularly challenging scenes to film?
The hospital scene where Zoe is on her mum’s hospital bed. Emotionally it was challenging as I always think of real experiences and thoughts when I am acting and thinking about real family members in the same position absolutely breaks my heart.
Have you worked with anybody involved with The Legend of the Five before?
Leigh Joel Scott is one of my best friends. We knew each other in Australia and we have both moved to LA. He’s a darl and we had so much fun working on this film together.
Were there any scenes that you enjoyed?
I enjoyed all of them. We had some tough days out in the cold as all our scenes were on location pretty much but every scene had its own spice to it which I loved. Every day was different!
Do you have an upcoming movie that you can talk about?
Yes I do! Steve Jaggi’s production of Swimming for Gold. I filmed it late last year in Brisbane. I am so excited for this film to be released as well!
