In preparation for St Patricks Day and all things Irish, Mellen Events is thrilled to announce the rebirth of Irish dance: EIREBORNE. Although like so many events, due to COVID-19, EIREBORNE had to be postponed. However, tour promoter Brad Mellen, Director of Mellen Events, is delighted for the relaunch and to be able to announce a revised and rejiggered 17 date Australian tour that runs through August and October 2021. Mellen noted that those who have purchased tickets for the postponed tour, their tickets will be valid for the new dates. However, if they require a refund, this can be arranged by contacting the venue.
“Various border and event restrictions forced our hand previously, however we are delighted to be finally able to tour again now,” Mellen commented “This event is a truly phenomenal assemblage of Irish talent, charm, and captivating song and dance.”
Revered dancer and co-producer of the production, Peta Anderson, described that when she first created the concept of Eireborne, she was fuelled by a desire “to feature Irish dancers in a way we haven’t been seen before! Eireborne allowed me to push the boundaries as the choreographer and revolutionise Irish dance which shows just how versatile and mesmerising Irish dance can be.” Anderson explained that EIREBORNE is far from just another Irish dance show, this riveting rock show production is an unparalelled theatrical experience, showcasing 15 incredible Irish dancers rockin’ out to a soundtrack of the biggest hits from Irish sensations including U2, Snow Patrol, Van Morrison, Hozier, The Script, The Cranberries, and more. Performed by a live six-piece band with two lead vocallists, this frenetic and fantastic show promises to thrill audiences nation-wide.
